Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to join our team at BuildHQ.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in building relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, and professionals within the building, construction, and design industries. This role involves promoting and selling our diverse product categories, as well as serving as a key facilitator for product/ project requirements that arise from these clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, and key stakeholders in the design and construction industries.

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions from BuildHQ’s wide product range.

  • Identify new business opportunities within the architectural and interior design sector to offer available solutions.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Promote and sell BuildHQ’s products, offering consultations to understand customer needs and provide expert recommendations.

  • Manage the entire sales process, from initial prospecting to closing deals, ensuring timely follow-ups and relationship nurturing.

Product Promotion and Presentation:

  • Educate Architects, Interior Designers, and other relevant professionals about the benefits and features of BuildHQ and its brands/ product categories.

  • Organize product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations tailored to the specific needs of the clients.

  • Stay up-to-date on new product launches, industry developments, and innovations to provide accurate information to clients.

Service Facilitation:

  • Act as a liaison between clients and brand teams to ensure that any related requirements are promptly addressed.

  • Coordinate with the brand teams to facilitate smooth, timely service for clients.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Achieve sales targets and other KPIs as set by the management team

  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, client interactions, and industry trends for management review.

  • Continuously assess and optimize the sales strategy to maximize results.

Networking and Brand Building:

  • Attend relevant trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to build relationships and raise BuildHQ’s brand awareness.

  • Engage with industry forums, online platforms, and communities to stay connected with potential clients and influencers.

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on connecting with Architects, Interior Designers, or similar professionals in the building or construction industry.

  • Demonstrated success in sales with a strong portfolio of client relationships in the design and construction sectors.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the architectural, interior design, and building products industry.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.

Personal Attributes:

  • Proactive, goal-oriented, and results-driven individual.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to meet client needs.

  • A self-starter with excellent time-management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with or within the building materials, construction, or design industries is a plus.

  • A strong network and experience of collaboration with architects and interior designers is an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with BuildHQ’s product offerings or similar product categories is a strong advantage.
